How to Determine Size / Price

Custom Made Pet Doors are made to the rough cut specification provided when placing an order. The rough cut is the size of the actual hole in your door or wall. To determine where you fall in the pricing chart below, simply multiply the width of your rough cut by the height of your rough cut. The product is the total square inch dimension of your opening, which is used to determine pricing of Custom Pet Doors.

Example: Rough Cut Opening of 10" W x 12" H = 120 Square inches. This would be in the 89" to 136" Square Inch Range.

Cat Doors or Cat Flaps, are those pet doors that are made specifically for use by cats. While most cats can use the traditional \'dog door\' or pet door, the doors contained in this category are for use by cats only. Generally, cat doors are smaller, and thus require cutting a smaller hole in your door or wall. 

Most cat doors are suitable for cats up to about 16 lbs. If your cat weighs more than 16 lbs, we strongly recommending testing the size of your desired cat door with your cat. This can be done by cutting a hole in a piece of cardboard to the appropriate size (matching that of one of our cat doors), and then coax your cat through the opening. 

There are two basic types of cat doors; manual and electronic (controlled access). Electronic Cat Flaps will allow any cat to leave your home, but restrict access coming into the home to only those cats outfitted with a collar tag that is specific to your type of cat door.
